Graph Theory was founded by Leonhard Euler writing a manuscript on the Seven Bridges of Königsberg published in 1736. The complex network theory (CNT) is based on graph theory. CNT is piece of digital transformation as we use many concepts and tools in several applications. The WDN-Betweenness centrality (https://lnkd.in/dBuGnNV) is a tailored metrics, which accounts for the fact that in water supply systems the nodes are characterized by a different relevance, e.g., water sources. The WDN-Betweenness metric allows the study of the domain for water supply systems, which is independent on hydraulic modelling and can assist it. In fact, the metric identifies the skeleton of the water network. As for human, the correct load and maintenance of the skeleton is relevant for life quality as well as it is important for system management quality of water supply networks. The domain analysis is an example of rationalization of complexity. The video shows the skeleton of Bogota’s water supply (adduction) system.
